Michael Jackson was known as the king of pop a cultural phenomenon know worldwide for his music and dance moves. With his extreme talent he was able to break down cultural barriers and open the hearts and ears of people world wide. The untimely death of the king of pop will be felt for years much like the death of Elvis Presley.

The greatest tribute that anyone can give Michael Jackson is listening to his music and more importantly dancing to his music. Arguably his most famous song and dance is the Thriller dance which is based on the choreographed dance moves from the music video Thriller. During the song Michael Jackson transforms into a werewolf and with the help of many Zombies perform a great dance routine. This dance routine has been impersonated for many years around Halloween, however, this year the dance routine will become a tribute rather than an impersonation.

What is needed to partake in the tribute to Michael through the Thriller dance? First you must learn the dance moves. The moves themselves are not that complex and there are plenty of videos that you can watch. Second, you must get yourself either a Michael Jackson costume or a Zombie costume. It is better to choose a Zombie costume as you would ideally only want one Michael at any tribute. Finally, you need to organize your friends to coordinate the tribute dance. The date this year for the dance is October 25th, 2009. It is important to plan early in-order to get your friends and costumes together.

To this day Elvis is still cherished and loved worldwide and impersonated in Las Vegas and around the world. The thriller dance should and could become a tribute to Michael Jackson much like dressing as Elvis is a tribute to the King of Rock and Roll. This year gather your friends to pay your respects to the king of pop in the form of dance.
