It only happens once a year but children and adults sometimes give more thought into their Halloween costumes than they do shopping for Christmas presents. Michael Jackson Tribute - He Inspired Me & So Many Others

My Michael Jackson Tribute begins by saying that Michael Jackson poster that is still hanging up in my room to this day. I also still have a drawer in my room with Michael Jackson memorabilia. I'm so glad that I kept everything.

As a child, every year, I had a Michael Jackson birthday cake. He was a big part of my childhood, and I am so thankful for every joyful moment.

Michael Jackson

On Sept. 10, 2001 (the day before 9/11), I was in New York City for Michael's 30th Anniversary Celebration. After that show, I called my mother, and I told her all about it. Later, she commented that the phone call was the happiest and most excited she's ever heard me. I think that God really made that show possible. God allowed Michael to put smiles on so many faces that night. We were able to have a night full of joy and happiness (before the terrorist attacks the next day).

Michael Jackson Tribute - He Inspired Me & So Many Others

I had tickets to see Michael in concert on July 18, 2009. It would've been another exciting day for me. However, I'm so happy and grateful that I was able to attend the concert in 2001, and I have so many wonderful memories of Michael that I will carry with me. His music will live on forever.

Michael is in the Guinness Book of World Records for selling more albums than any other artist. He has touched so many people's lives all around the world.

Reverend Run (from Run DMC) said that after he heard Michael's song, "Ben", he knew he wanted to be an entertainer. Kobe Bryant said that Michael told him that it was okay to be different. By different, he meant that it was okay to be immersed in your craft. Kobe said that Michael's success didn't just happen by chance. Michael had goals/dreams, and he made them happen. One of my friends from high school told me that because of Michael's song, "Man in the Mirror," he decided to go into the nonprofit/human services realm and run for office. Another friend told me that when he was younger, his football coach told him to study Michael Jackson. Michael had such a positive energy about him. His coach said that's the kind of energy you want to give off. Michael was the 1st African American artist to be played on MTV. He paved the way for so many other artists.

Michael was also a humanitarian. He loved helping people (especially children). He had such a kind heart.

He was an extremely hard worker. He paid attention to detail, and he made his dreams become a reality.

Let's all strive to work a little bit harder, set goals, and make our dreams comes true. Let's also always remember about the importance of giving back and helping others. Think of ways you can make a difference in someone's life. Put a smile on a stranger's face. Go out and do something you're passionate about. Discover and live your life's purpose and passions. Do something to make the world a better place.

My Michael Jackson Tribute comes to a close with the following quote from Michael's song, "Man in the Mirror."

"If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make that change."

Michael Jackson - "Yesterday, Today and Forever"

Michael Jackson, the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen stood in London and announced his "This is it" concerts. It was a long awaited comeback. Fans around the world were more thrilled of this intended comeback considering the fact that he had not performed live on stage in more than twelve years. Jackson was supposed to perform about 50 concerts and weeks before the first show all the tickets were sold out. It was really going to be the "final curtain call" however, it was never meant to be as he sadly met his untimely death on June 25th 2009, exactly a year ago. His death was so sudden, it shocked the world, his fans could not believe it and his family was traumatized. Though extremely popular in life, in death Jackson's fame and popularity have increased exceedingly and will remain so for generations to come.

Jackson has always been a star since he made his debut as a child for the Jackson Five. Jackson Five had hits after hits and the group was a sensation. Michael Jackson's solo album "Off the Wall" cemented his credentials as a great performer. His subsequent hits such as "Billie Jean", "Bad", and "Dangerous" among many others turned him into a living legend.

Michael Jackson

During "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" Jackson broke the myth surrounding live musical performance proved convincingly the ability to achieve artistic perfection on stage. In this performance of "Billie Jean" his voice, dance moves, the beat and rhythm of the song merged together and in defiance of natural law he became one with his music. It was during this performance that he introduced us to his newest dance moves at the time which came to be known as "moonwalk". Christopher Smith captured this historic moment adequately in his article entitled " Michael Jackson's 'Motown 25' performance -- in person" in the Los Angeles Times, he writes "...and he walked downstage in my direction and struck a pose in silhouette as the drums snapped the now-familiar intro to "Billie Jean."The place exploded. I'm pretty blase about crowd response, but this was different. It wasn't a roar; more the sound of simultaneous shrieks from all over the auditorium, like everyone being scared at once. A couple rows in front of me, two women in my sight line were violently hugging, almost tackling each other, while riveted on the stage, as though they were unconsciously trying to hold onto the moment more than each other"(Smith 2009).In recognition of the special relationship between him and Motown, Michael Jackson is substituted in place of "Motown 25" and thereby making of pop. The first and perhaps the last entertainer with a royal title unanimously accepted and legitimized by millions around the world.

Michael Jackson - "Yesterday, Today and Forever"

Michael Jackson brought joy to millions of people around the world however, he was sad and lonely for most of his life. He felt like a prisoner unable to explore the world he loved so much. What a joy it would have brought him if we just enjoyed his music and left him alone.

His detractors accuse him of so many things whether true or untrue, they go a long way to buttress the fact that he was only human made of flesh and blood and full of emotions like everyone else. Rather than being too judgmental and ignoring our own fallibility let us celebrate this iconic figure who is a legend in the eyes of many, a true perfectionist who worked extremely hard in spite of fact that he was extraordinarily gifted and talented.

Generations yet unborn will come to appreciate the man who single-handedly changed the music and entertainment industry. Those privileged to have lived in his lifetime will cherish their memory of him. On June 25 of this year, the first anniversary of his death, we celebrate the life and works of this great icon and legend who was good at what he does. His legacy lives on.... and "Michael Jackson will never die".

Lessons From Musical Icon Michael Jackson

I still find it hard to believe that Michael Jackson is gone, yet the reality of his absence has forced us all to reflect on what an amazing musical artist and human being he was. Michael Jackson was the epitome of a musical icon. He earned his iconic status through consistently being original, innovative, generous and resilient. Though he is now gone, everyone, especially business owners and leaders, can learn from his unforgettable style.

He Exemplified Originality- Michael Jackson was an original; he created music, fashion and dance trends. From his red leather jacket, the moon walk, to his heart felt lyrics; he was an original. Follow your own lead, copycats get lumped in with everyone else. Be original in your approach , services and delivery. Throw out the cookie cutter and be original.

Michael Jackson

He was Innovative- He was a forward thinking entertainer that had the ability to create music that set the standard for all others. Are you creating new ways to satisfy your customers? MJ's musical innovation earned him 13 Grammy Awards and 13 number one hits. Don't just think outside the box - implement out side the box. Innovation will keep the customers you have and bring in new ones.

Lessons From Musical Icon Michael Jackson

He was Generous- He was known for his generosity and compassion. In fact he was so generous that he obtained a Guinness World Record for the 39 charities he supported, which was more than any other entertainer or personality. You may not have the millions Michael Jackson had to give away, but start where you are. Give of your time, talents and whatever money you are able to give. Generosity goes a long way and it always comes back to you.

He was Resilient - We all watched during Michael's most difficult moments of humiliation on more than one occasion. His resilience was notable. Tough times will come; you'll be prepared for some, and others will catch you off guard. During challenging times, decide you will not give up and turn lemon into lemon juice. Remember: this too, shall pass.

May Michael Jackson's unforgettable legacy of originality, innovation, generosity and resilience live on as we conduct our lives and lead others to do the same.

Michael Jackson and Arfaq

Michael Jackson, Arfaq, Balmain and the Clothes that set Todays Fashion

Billie Jean Tux

Michael Jackson

Jackson's contemporary take on the tuxedo was groundbreaking of pop himself grew to favor.

Michael Jackson and Arfaq

Military Man

The military look - with lashings of gold embroidery and sequins - was one of Jacko's most compelling and copied styles. Balmain paid tribute and Rihanna tried the look. Jackson himself wore this Balmain jacket on a hospital visit.

The military look, worn on the Dangerous Tour in 1992, is arguably classic Jackson. It's a style that he has refined over the years and it inspired Balmain's Autumn/Winter 09 collection. It was designed by Denis Tompkins and Michael Jackson was very fond of his military details as they had clean lines and fitted almost like dance clothes. Further- more, uniforms demand attention.

'Magician's Fall' Military Half Jacket

'Magicians Fall', designed by Arfaq for Michael Jackson, is a military half jacket, designed from black dress suede. The garment demonstrates a very simple cut and fall and is very comfortable to wear. In return, this jacket is lined in a fine black silk and is flamboyantly decorated with 18ct gold buckles.

Gangster Style Smooth Criminal

The gangster-style suit from Smooth Criminal was designed by Betty Madden and is a homage to Fred Astaire's outfit in the 1953 film The Bandwagon. It was much slicker than the costumes Jackson wore in the early Eighties. To achieve the impossible effect of leaning that far forward in this picture he wore shoes that used special harnesses with wires and magnets.

The World's First Pair of Adjustable Shoes

Arfaq designed and developed custom-made shoes for Michael Jackson. These shoes were made to electronically self adjust to his foot. The concept was created because his production company, MJJ Productions, did not disclose his shoe size!

Hat Tricks

Jackson had the ability to take a simple fashion item and invest it with iconic status. His tilted fedora is a good example. It became more than simply a hat. It was an extension of the man and of his dancing. He used it to create drama. The look is now popular with Kate Moss, who uses hers to hide from photographers.

The Bad Days

For the Bad album, Jackson toughened up his image with masses of belts, buckles, studs and straps, but it was always more glam than intimidating. Mary-Kate Olsen wears the Givenchy version of the Bad look.

1990s Glitter

Jackson and sparkles go hand in hand. He loved to shine and was one of the first to wear clothes entirely encrusted with Swarovski crystals.

The Swarovski Black Diamond Glove

In 1994, Arfaq made a Black Swarovski diamond glove for Michael Jackson known as "Healing Hands", which was worn by Michael Jackson on the HIstory Tour. Handmade with 18,443 diamond stones imported from Austria, from the legendary Swarovski Crystal House, the specially formulated adhesive allows total control and movement.

Five 9ct Egyptian gold buckles fasten the glove in place, each buckle is extremely light, thus preventing distortion of the finished glove.

His look inspired this Antonio Berardi catwalk style. Today, sequins work for day and evening wear.

The Velvet and Crystal Jacket

When Michael Jackson celebrated 30 years in music at Madison Square Gardens in and was presented a velvet and crystal jacket designed by Arfaq.

A Thriller of a Jacket

The flamboyant red leather jacket Jackson wore in the Thriller video is one of his most memorable looks. It wasn't so much the colour or the style that were important, but the way he wore it, with the sleeves pushed up past his elbows. With that simple styling tick, he set a trend that lasted a decade.

This is one of Jackson's most iconic outfits. The bold red leather jacket with exaggerated shoulders is from the video to Thriller. Fast forward 25 years and leather jackets and coloured jeans are enjoying a revival.

The World's Most Expensive Cufflinks in GBWR

In 1996, The Guinness Book of World Records listed the V2 Cufflinks as "The World's most expensive cufflinks" designed by Arfaq. The pair were privately sold to Michael Jackson and MJJ Productions for £23,850 in November 1996.

Made from platinum and 18ct yellow and white gold, the V2 cufflinks are adorned with sapphires and diamonds, and individually hallmarked and numbered.

The V2 Cufflinks are presented in a handcrafted Burr Elm case. Each tailor-made case is lined with contrasting scarlet red suede. Each case bears the individual number and recipients name on a 24ct gold plate. With production limited to 7 pairs only, this makes it an extremely rare piece of jewelry.

Michael Jackson Costume

If you're considering a Michael Jackson costume this year for Halloween, then we've got a few hints and tips for you. With so much having been created by the king of pop, there are dozens of different options for a Michael Jackson costume. In fact, if you're feeling up to it, we think a Michael Jackson themed party would be absolutely killer! Every person dressing in a different iconic Michael Jackson costume would be a smash hit, and with so many options to choose from, it's entirely plausible.

But what are these options, and what else do you need to consider? We'll go over them briefly.

Michael Jackson

First of all, here are some of your basic options, and their complexity:

Michael Jackson Costume

* Billy Jean. This relatively simple outfit is made up of white boots, black leather pants, a leather jacket, and a pink shirt and bow tie.

* Beat It (T-Shirt option). There are a couple of options from this video, and the first is the easiest Michael Jackson costume out there. It's comprised of the keyboard shirt and red pants.

* Beat It (Full costume). This is a somewhat more complex outfit, mostly because you can't buy a red jacket like this local. It also involves a very particular multicolored shirt. The black pants and white shoes are things you can pick up without a specialty store, though.

* Smooth Criminal. I personally love this outfit, but it's tricky. The all white 50s style suit, with the matching white fedora, white tie, and blue shirt, is a great Michael Jackson costume, but unless you go with a specialty store, a white fedora like this is just going to be plain hard to find. White ties and suits are also pretty rare.

* Thriller. Of course, this is the most appropriate costume for Halloween, and it looks great (and is very iconic). It is, however, basically impossible to do this Michael Jackson costume without a specialty store, since you can't pick up pants or a jacket like this at any normal clothing outlet.

* Bad. This sort of costume is easy to make a similar set for, but it's unfortunately tricky to get an exact match unless you go with a specialty store. If you want to make a similar set, hop into a local "Hot Topic" store. This sort of style is actually very popular right now (thank you emo kids!), so you can grab similar jackets and gloves without issue. A similar belt and boots are going to be harder to find, and the simplest option, again, becomes a specialty store.

* Michael Jackson. You can dress up as Michael Jackson himself from the 80s, or from more recent times. Try to do more than just a glove, though. Because that's lame.

Whatever you do, checking out the Michael Jackson music videos on YouTube is a really good place to start, to be sure you capture the costume accurately. Also, if you're going to do a specialty store, plan ahead and go online -- you can save lots of cash by going with an online specialty store over local places. Of course, you have to wait for shipping, so jump on it by mid-October if you want to make the costume work.

Iconic Funerals - Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009)

On June 25th 2009, the world stood still as news spread that Michael Jackson had died after a suffering cardiac arrest at his LA mansion.

Internet search engine, Google, shut down as it interpreted the sheer volume of searches for "Michael Jackson" as an automated attack; and, within a few hours of the news breaking of pop was back on top of the charts thanks to radio airplay and downloads.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was one of the most commercially successful artists of all time. A double-inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his other achievements feature multiple Guinness World Records - including the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time", 13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles, and the sale of over 750 million records.

Iconic Funerals - Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009)

Michael's career began in 1964 as the youngest member of the Jackson 5. Enduring a difficult and lonely childhood growing up in the public eye, and suffering beatings at the hands of his father, a teenage Michael launched his solo career in 1971.

In 1982, Michael released "Thriller", the biggest-selling album of all time, with 110 million copies sold worldwide. It stayed in the top 10 for 80 consecutive weeks, with 37 at Number 1, and the accompanying music video pioneered a new direction for the music industry.

Michael Jackson was an inspiring showman. His halftime act at Super Bowl XXVII attracted more viewers than the Superbowl itself, and he constantly strived to upstage himself by incorporating stunts such as the infamous 'moonwalk' and flying via rocket pack to ensure every show was better than the last.

But despite his musical success, Michael battled very public demons in his private life.

Media speculation arose over his frequently changing appearance, most notably the surgery to his nose and alleged bleaching of the skin. Yet it transpired that Michael suffered from vitiligo and lupus, which lightened his skin and caused sensitivity to sunlight.

Michael married twice; first to Elvis's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, then to Debbie Rowe, the mother of his eldest two children. His third child, whom Michael dangled from his hotel balcony, was born from a surrogate, fuelling the tabloids to record other strange behaviour, such as buying a pet chimpanzee and sleeping in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

But 'Wacko Jacko' was in the media spotlight for far more serious and sinister reasons in 1993 and 2003, when he was accused of child sexual abuse at his Neverland Ranch.

Michael said that the 25-minute strip search he endured to prove his innocence was one of the most humiliating ordeals of his life, from which he never fully recovered. He began taking painkillers and sedatives to ease the panic attacks he suffered as a result of the allegations, and his health deteriorated.

During the investigations, mental health professional Dr. Stan Katz said Michael; who claimed, 'I am Peter Pan'; was a regressed 10-year-old, and did not fit the profile of a pedophile.

Having disappeared from the public eye until March 2009, Michael announced his final ten shows at London's O2 Arena. However, demand forced the residency to be extended to fifty nights, to commence on July 13th 2009.

Much speculation has arisen over the star's physical health for such a mammoth tour, and whether this was to blame for the cardiac arrest, although rumours are rife of murder, overdose and still being alive. Only time will tell.

Michael Jackson's private funeral service was held on July 7th 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park's Hall of Liberty, followed by a public memorial at LA's Staples Center, where the 'Artist of the Decade (1980's)' had been rehearsing, which was watched by over 30million people.

Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Jermaine Jackson sang tributes, Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson gave eulogies, while Reverend Al Sharpton received a standing ovation when he told Jackson's children, "There wasn't nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with."

Mourners remembered Michael for his talents, success, generosity and attempts to 'Heal the World' through launching the Heal the World Foundation and further charity work. In 2000, he broke the Guinness World Record for his support of 39 charities (more than any other entertainer or personality), to which he donated millions.

Michael's 11-year-old daughter, Paris, cried as she told the crowd, "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine."

Marlon Jackson spoke of his brother's troubles, stating, "we will never, never, understand what he endured. Not being able to walk across the street without a crowd gathered around, being judged, being ridiculed. How much pain can one take? Maybe now, Michael, they will leave you alone."

Perfect Michael Jackson Rhinestone Gift For Collectors and Affluent Investors!

Michael Jackson collectors and affluent investors who know the value of Michael Jackson collectibles come from every part of the world and collect everything from signed posters to 0,000 dollar plus estate exclusives. But with Christmas just around the corner many friends, family members, husbands and wives of Michael Jackson collectors and affluent investors are asking...

"Where can I find an exclusive gift for the collector/investor who has everything or a rare limited collectible that only a few fortunate collectors/investors will own?"

Michael Jackson

This question stirs the imagination while prompting one to consider higher quality choices in the collectible arena. As you know, when it comes to collectors and investors, quality (rarity) is the issue not quantity (run-of-the-mill). The key is to find a certified authentic limited edition replica hand-crafted by the original creator within the massive array of choices being offered today, without having to spend the family fortune. Anyone can click onto eBay and search for Michael Jackson gifts but the rare and unique gift being sought by the question above is not going to be found on eBay or at your local store. Exclusive limited edition treasures of this caliber are typically found through small circles of influence within an affluent crowd...The question then remains...

Perfect Michael Jackson Rhinestone Gift For Collectors and Affluent Investors!

"How do I get invited to participate within the exclusive crowd?"

The answer is simple...rub shoulders with people who provide exclusive services to people of influence.

For example...what if you were able to locate the origin creator of Michael Jackson's 1994 Rhinestone Glove as seen in the 1994 Sydney, Australia Billie Jean video on YouTube...And what if this creator was willing to re-create a limited edition of the exact same glove created for Michael...this would allow you the unique opportunity to secure a rare certified collectible with intrinsic value without having to pay the inflated prices for the original glove.

Here are some important tips on purchasing an authentic, certified, limited edition, replica of Michael Jackson Rhinestone Glove...

Rhinestones vs. Sequins:
Michael had many gloves, some made with rhinestones, others with sequins. Sequins as you know are of lesser value while the rhinestones are of greater value. Not all rhinestones are created equal...some are designed to reflect greater light while others reduce the light...some are colored while others are clear. This author's opinion of a wiser investment would be a rhinestone glove as apposed to the sequin.

Secret Maker's Mark:
Secret maker's marks are another added value to an authentic replica glove. All known facts of this author indicate, there was only one Rhinestone Glove that carried a secret maker's mark only known to Michael and the creator - That glove was Michael's new 1994 Rhinestone Glove as seen for the first time in Sydney, Australia while performing Billie Jean.

Hand Sewn with Hidden Thread:
Back in 1994, Michael was frustrated with his previous glove since it did not reflect enough light in front of camera. To remedy the situation, Michael sought out a private Beverly Hills designer to re-create the glove. The new creator chose to hand sew the rhinestones closer together for greater refection and to remove the appearance of any external thread, which at the time, was blocking a lot of the reflection from his glove. This special rhinestone application technique is another added value to a Michael Jackson Rhinestone Glove.

Rhinestone Density:
In addition, when you see Michael performing with this exclusive glove, you will notice the glove appears to be very large and full, this is due to the density of the Australian crystal rhinestones and the addition of an Australian crystal bead cap stone.

Here is a Summary:
Here is what adds greater value to an authentic, certified, limited edition, replica of Michael Jackson's Rhinestone Glove...

1) It must be made of Austrian crystal rhinestones
2) All rhinestones should be hand sewn not machine applied
3) All appearance of thread should be hidden on the external surface of the glove
4) Each rhinestone should be caped with an Australian crystal bead
5) The glove should have the secret maker's mark inside the glove
6) The designer/creator label should be inside the glove displaying the designer logo and limited edition number.

Protection to the Buyer:
As added protection to the buyer, it would be wise if the designer/creator had on file, a registered and sealed 'Notarized Statement of Fact Regarding the Crafting of One Original Custom Hand-Made Rhinestone Glove for Musician Michael Jackson'.

In addition...you would also want to receive a signed numbered Certificate of Authenticity with your purchase. I hope this article has provided you with valuable and informative information. Each collector and/or investor should always perform their own due diligence when it comes to purchasing any collectible item.

Happy Holidays!

Michael Jackson's Unfinished Dream

My mention of Michael Jackson on my Facebook status startled many, especially as I invited them to pray for him. Within minutes dozens of friends were commenting on my status, most of them were fans. More personal messages were dropped in my mailbox or emailed directly, and these were messages from my annoyed friends: "What have you got to do with Michael Jackson, a child molester, blah, blah, blah?"

This is a very big question, a huge question, since it can be rephrased in innumerable ways. What have I got to do with you? What have I got to do with the publisher of this paper? What have I got to do with President Obama?

Michael Jackson

Or, what have I, or you, got to do with this world? Perhaps the best answer is: "Because I live in this world." This is the point. The fact that you and I live in this world connects us to all other citizens in the world.

Michael Jackson's Unfinished Dream

I remember the great Sufi mystic poet Saadi: "Human beings are members of a whole, In creation of one essence and soul. If one member is afflicted with pain, other members uneasy will remain. If you have no sympathy for human pain, The name of human you cannot retain."

But human pain and suffering cannot connect me with my fellow human beings, if I do not have some kind of "feelings" for them. I have an emotional tie with my family members, so I can easily feel their pain. But, I may not have such a tie with you, and therefore I may not feel the same way about you, your pain and your suffering.

Not so with Michael Jackson, he could feel the pain of a suffering humanity. He raised and donated millions of dollars for humanitarian causes. He was not compelled to do what he did. Indeed, there are people much richer than him that did not do anything to alleviate suffering.

Michael Jackson differs from them because of his "feelings". We can still hear the echo of his compassion through his songs and writings, such as this passage from his album "Dangerous":

"Consciousness expresses itself through creation. This world we live in is the dance of the creator. Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on.

"On many an occasion, when I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred. In those moments, I felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.

"I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved. I become the victor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave. I become the singer and the song. I become the knower and the known.

"I keep on dancing and then, it is the eternal dance of creation. The creator and the creation merge into one wholeness of joy. I keep on dancing...until there is only...the dance."

Such feelings are indeed very "dangerous", for then you can no longer shut your eyes to what is happening around you. Michael was in a very vulnerable condition, even before penning such thoughts, he was already singing: "We are the world...the world must come together as one.. It's time to lend a hand to life."

He felt connected with the world not just physically, but also spiritually. He did not stop at recognizing and acknowledging the pain and suffering of people; he wanted to make a change.

In "Man in the Mirror", he actually saw the reflection of his soul and sang with an added fervor: "If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and then make a change." It was an advice given not to you or to me, but to himself: "I'm gonna make a change, for once in my life it's gonna feel real good, gonna make a difference, gonna make it right..."

His realization that he had "been a victim of a selfish kind of love" made him all the more obsessed with the idea of spreading the right kind of love to heal himself and "Heal the World" to "make it a better place for you and for me". He dreamt of a world where "Black or White" either did not matter at all, or mattered equally.

In "The Earth Song" he wept together with Mother Earth: "What have we done to the world, look what we've done." Frustrated with all the happenings around him, he continued: "I used to dream, I used to glance beyond the stars; now I don't know where we are, although I know we've drifted far."

Back in the late 1970s, I had the rare chance of meeting philosopher J. Krishnamurti (1895-1986). He suffered from a similar frustration too. Later, in a documentary made on his life, those who were close to him during his last days discussed his frustration.

Both, philosopher J. Krishnamurti and artist Michael Jackson spoke of change, of the ultimate freedom from bondage, from the old-rotten old paradigms. And, as rightly put by Mahatma Gandhi, both realized the necessity of "being the change" that they wanted to see in the world. Yet, both of them died frustrated, as did the Mahatma. Gandhi who could not accept the idea of India's division based on religion.

J. Krishnamurti let out his frustrations through his writings and discussions with people around him. Gandhi let out his frustrations by withdrawing from political life and going back to his commune in Gujarat. Michael Jackson, the star, let out his frustrations by experimenting with his body. He turned his body into a laboratory.

From a strict diet to several plastic surgery operations and his involvement in unpopular "ventures", his love and sex lives - can all be seen as manifestations of his innermost desire to change. Change was both, his dream and his obsession. When he "felt" that he failed to bring about change, or at least it was not the kind of change he desired, he withdrew and shut himself away from the outer world. This was a grave mistake. By doing so, he closed all the outlets to let go of his frustrations. And, he died a lonely man.

Yet, a man, a star like Michael Jackson is too big to die. Indeed, he is too bright a star to fall. He shall shine for many, many years. His legacy of songs, his unfulfilled dream of the world to come, and his obsession to change shall be remembered by generations to come. Michael's dream shall remain alive, for his dream is not a loner's dream, his dream is the dream of all those who are capable of dreaming something big.

Jackson, we share your frustration and we will turn this into a source of energy to realize your dream, to "make a better world for you and for me". I shall not bid you good-bye my friend, for in your dream our meeting continues..

Michael Jackson and His Acne

One of the banes of being a teenager with raging hormones is the appearance of unsightly pimples and acne. This is caused by the increased activity of oil glands on the skin. Acne is produced when pustules or pus is formed on the skin's pores, ridden with bacteria. Popping and squeezing them might worsen the pimple or acne, because our nails and fingers also carry a lot of germs, which can contaminate the skin. Also, some acne wounds go away by themselves, but still leave a pinch of scar on the skin. Acne scarring is one of the primary skin problems faced by both men and women, and a number dermatological procedures have been performed to remove or minimize acne scarring.

It has been reported recently that the late Michael Jackson, has been suffering from severe acne and scarring, due to his cosmetic surgery. His doctor reported that he has been treating the king of pop's famous (or infamous) face, to prepare him for his comeback concert appearance which was due this year. Michael Jackson's doctor also dispelled rumors that his nose has come off, and that Jackson has been coming to the clinic to get it fixed. However, the doctor confirmed that Jackson has been preoccupied and self-conscious about his nose, due to his past experience of having his family sometimes tease him about how big his nose was. Nevertheless, it is interesting to know how normal it seems that the king of pop can also have the same acne problems like any other person.

Michael Jackson

There are now a lot of acne treatment procedures available for the public. One of the most effective and least painful is laser surgery treatment. However, laser surgery treatment is also the most costly. The great thing about it is that the acne scars disappears permanently, and sometimes with only a single procedure. Another form of treatment is making small incisions on the scar and injecting collagen in it. This will allow the skin to expand, tightening it and making it smoother. It is also painful and sometimes would require local anesthesia.

Michael Joseph Jackson and the Darker Side of Chaldean Master Numbers

In my last article about Michael Jackson, I focused on the positive qualities and characteristics of the many Master numbers found in his name: I had intended the piece as a tribute to him and to his talent. However, in the interest of accuracy, I will now investigate the other side of this enigmatic figure by looking at the potent negatives that are naturally attached to his Master numbers - all of Michael Jackson 5) was also an 11. The vibration of this Master number is one of imagination, fantasy, mystical longings and psychic or intuitive impressions...indeed, the Master 11 is often referred to as the Visionary. Living inside the self, privacy and daydreaming...and sometimes illusions...are the key words when describing this energy, although its idealistic goal is to heal the world, a dream which is often expressed through art, music, drama...these types are highly creative but are equally critical of their own talents.

Often dismissed as unrealistic and impractical by others, the Master 11 is so sensitive that it has difficulty relating to the harsher elements of life and prefers the haven of an escapist 'dream world'. When forced to deal with the harsh realities of life, the 11 will perform its duties with grace, but will often disappear at the first opportunity. There are usually two distinct and different sides to the 11 (due to the two separate 1 values) and Michael Jackson totals to the Master number 44. This number energy refers directly to what he did and created while here on the Earth plane: he used his music and lyrics and dance to effect the mood of his 'family': to uplift, to cheer, to validate, to touch, to heal. That, in fact, is the meaning of the Master 44 -- the Healer. This is the therapist to the human race, who will use whatever means assigned to him to accomplish his goal. Michael Jackson and his numbers, to order your own Chaldean report or just to read up on more metaphysical subjects, please drop by my website.

Michael Jackson and Human Consciousness Evolution

As a person who has worked with a deep connection to Spirit, it has become clear to me that we process not only our individual psychological issues, but the emotional energy of the groups that we are embedded within as a collective. These include smaller groups such as family, school, and community, as well as larger collectives. Certain events, and certain lives resonate with group oversouls, and even the entire human collective oversoul. These events and lives become a kind of living synchronicity. Like all synchronicities, they offer consciousness to those who experience them.

A very poignant example involved the life of actor Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in the movie series. The idea of Superman is an archetypical projection of the human ego - the idea of immortality and invulnerability are delusions that the ego puts forward as it confronts the reality that it will inevitably pass. At the level of consciousness, Superman represents the denial of impermanence, embodiment and death. Thus when Christopher Reeve accepted the role of Superman, he literally embodied a collective spiritual issue of the human oversoul. His life became not merely his own, but a channel for the consciousness evolution of humanity.

When Christopher Reeve was thrown from his horse and became a quadriplegic, he became the antithesis of Superman - all too vulnerable and very mortal. He became completely helpless and dependent on others for survival. He became powerless in almost every sense, except for the power to choose his thoughts and attitude.

Within his spirit, and at the deeper level of the human oversoul, Christopher Reeve accepted a role as an agent in human consciousness evolution. He soared as high as the ego can fly, and fell as far as it can fall. And it was all for the service of humanity. His life helped us process a little of a collective issue of human egos, the delusion that we have ultimate power and control. The truth is that we do not. We are part of a greater spiritual evolution. And all form passes.

Recently another individual human soul passed away, and his life also served the human collective. Michael Jackson's life, his music and his individual soul issues resonated deeply with the oversoul of a large segment of humanity - the Generation Xers. What I am about to say is not meant to be disrespectful to Michael Jackson. I write this with no judgment of him as a soul. These perceptions emerge from my intuitive sense of his life and soul issues. We all have soul issues. Michael Jackson's were probably a little deeper than most, and he just happened to live his in the spotlight.

Michael Jackson never integrated his childhood scars. He did not know how to deal with adult relationships, because his personal boundaries were so diffused as a child that he did not know where "he" ended and others started. He began to push others away. His retreat into child-like behaviours was testament that he had not integrated and owned his inner child. He became a parody of that child because he was not prepared to become the parent to it. He rejected responsibility for himself. An increasing acceptance of responsibility for self and one's soul issues is a fundamental component of personal, psychological and spiritual development. This is a lifetime process for most of us. Inevitably, most of us never complete the processes.

Yet most significantly, Michael Jackson never accepted his mortality, and thus lived in great fear of death. He spent his life attempting to anaesthetise his emotional pain, deny his body, and control and alter his physical form. He orchestrated his life such that he did not have to confront his soul issues, retreating into a fantasy world of his own making. The increasing pain in his body reflected his deep, undressed emotional scars, and as he tried to drug these out of his awareness, he eventually turned so far away from the truth of himself that his spirit vacated his body. He was not able to grow any more as a spirit.

Yet the timing of his passing has its own perfection.

Michael Jackson's life was archetypal, and his death has created a huge wave in human collective consciousness. This is not because MJ was "weird" or a freak. In fact the media have suddenly stopped referring to him as "Whacko Jacko". The capacity of Micheal Jackson's passing to deeply affect the collective human oversoul lies in the fact that Michael Jackson is so definitively human. His denial of death and impermanence, his attempts to shut out his pain, and his inability to integrate his inner child are all prime issues of the Generation X oversoul, and the human collective oversoul in general.

In Michael Jackson's passing, Generation X is forced to confront these issues at a deep level. So, don't be surprised if you find yourself facing some unexpected emotional issues in the coming days and weeks. It is not just you. It is "we". The ocean has stirred, and a wave is descending. The tsunami though, is meant to be. Ride with it wherever it takes you, and you will be just a little bit freer.

Backyard Talent in the Age of Michael Jackson

Most would agree that the Jackson Family has generated a gigantic tidy package of hit songs and treasured musical legacies for more than four decades.  That became concrete on Wednesday June 24th when one of their youngest, Michael Jackson, the king of pop, had sung and danced his way into the hearts and souls of millions all over the world.  And his musical genius will be sorely missed by countless fans from the bright lights of Los Angeles to the rose gardens of Cape Town.

We all appreciate his music, and the music of his entire family.  Yet beyond the scores of musical success, it's their family history of career aspirations in overdrive, physical and mental abuse, and fame on steroids that trouble me the most.

Michael Jackson

I will be the first to admit that all families have skeletons in the closet and dark secrets that are rarely discussed.  I have some in my family.  But the Jacksons seem to have numerous family hotspots that stick in the forefront of an adoring public.

Backyard Talent in the Age of Michael Jackson

I was recently treated to a performance of a local Boston gospel group that reminded me where to find my entertainment role models.  Not exclusively in Hollywood but right in my own backyard.  The group delivered a different genre than pop music, but it was soulful just the same.

The Harmonizing Stars of Boston reminded me that there are countless local groups all over the world whose passion and musical talent are just as vital as The Jackson Family.  And sometimes, as in the case of this local group, it's a reminder that there are role models all around us.

Dr. James Bruce, one of the original members of the Harmonizing Stars, asked me to read the history of group during the dinner concert.  It was a lengthy read, and I was concerned that the audience might get restless as the history was read aloud while steaming plates of baked chicken hit each guest table.  My concerns were unfounded. As I read the animated and colorful history of the group, the audience stayed with me right until the end.  They loved it.

My reading actually showcased 40 years of an African American singing group who managed to stay together as a gospel staple in Boston.  First there were nine who started at the beginning in 1969.  Now 40 years later there remain four: two brothers, a cousin, and an uncle.  Working by day.  Singing by night. Endless rehearsals and unlimited dreams.  Countless costumes and an abundance of talent.  All acapella.  All in the honor of God.

While I read their history, it dawned on me that their history paralleled the Jackson Family. Same time period. Different cities and different musical genres.  But still two family acts with very different roadmaps.  The Jackson Family reaching fame, fortune and now great tragedy with the loss of Michael Jackson Family.

So the next time you have an opportunity to reach out and support local talent doing good works, do it.  It will help remind you that local community arts and culture are strengthened by the artistic talent of its local citizens like the Harmonizing Stars of Boston.

Hats off to this amazing group, and so many others in different parts of the world who are making a difference through song, dance and art.
