The phenomenon that is Michael Jackson will continue to live even if he is not amongst us. In fact, this is one superstar who had so much to him that words fail to describe the kind of impact he had on all of us. It is not just the music that comes to mind when we speak about Michael Jackson. He alone defined the genre and in the eighties, you couldn't think of music without thinking of this great celebrity.

Born Michael Joseph Jackson, he was an instant celebrity and someone who was cherished and looked upon with great respect by everyone who knew him. He contributed a lot from the time he was a young kid. In fact, even when he was performing with his brothers as a part of the Jackson 5, Michael was known to steal the stage and take control of the entire performance. Before you know it, he had the audience in a dazzle, completing making them forget that this was a group performance and having them convinced that it was all about him.

This talented individual got all the attention he ever dreamed of and went ahead with his solo career. He produced some of the greatest singles ever in the history of the music industry, and people continue to applaud his efforts to date. So great was his impact, that Michael Jackson became a household name from Indiana to Tokyo, everyone knew this great star and wanted to get a piece of him. So big was his name that there are cases where people who don't even speak English learning his songs and trying to sing them on their own.

Probably the world will never see another star that impacts society the way Michael Jackson did. It is hard to believe that we have lost a star of this stature; the shock is only beginning to increase as more people come out and share in the sorrow.

Michael Jackson did more for the African American artists than anyone ever could have imagined. It was his songs that first played on MTV, which was a predominantly white music channel back then. So big was his fan following that people would support him in all his endeavors and never leave his back. He never forgot to give back, raising money for charities the world over. In the end, Michael Jackson is one superstar who will truly be missed and remembered forever.
